Hit and Run Accident Leaves Woman Injured

A multi-vehicle a hit and run accident occurred at the intersection of Euclid St. and Catherine Dr. on Monday in Anaheim.

According to Anaheim police officer Danny Mihalak, the car accident happened at approximately 10:50 a.m. A man driving a Chevrolet Cavalier made a left turn in front of a Honda Civic, which was southbound on Euclid St. The left-turning Cavalier collided with the Civic, knocking the Civic into a third vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The hit and run driver abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.

The driver of the Honda Civic, 21-year-old Monica Varillas, was injured and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Her 1-year-old child, a passenger in her car, was not injured.
