|

A two-vehicle head-on crash last Tuesday on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu left one driver dead.

The accident happened at approximately 5 p.m. on PCH near Tuna Canyon Rd. Eriber Lopez, a 25-year-old Los Angeles resident, was southbound on PCH in a Buick Regal when he veered into northbound traffic and struck a Honda Accord driven by a 46-year-old Oxnard man.

Lopez was air-lifted to Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda suffered injuries to his head and back.

According to Sergeant Philip Brooks of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station, Lopez was an unlicensed driver.
