Santa Monica Police Cracking Down on Speeding Drivers

|

In May, the Santa Monica Police Department will be cracking down on speeding drivers.

Each month, the Santa Monica Police Department is focusing on different driving behaviors in an effort to reduce the number of car accidents in Santa Monica. The police department is also attempting to reduce other types of accidents. As for bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, and pedestrian accidents, Santa Monica is ranked #1 in the state of California, when compared to other California cities of similar size.

Speeding is involved in one out of three fatal car accidents. Speeding is the third leading factor which contributes to car accidents. Drivers speed for many reasons, including because they're in a hurry; they're not paying attention to their speed; they don't take speed limits seriously; and they don't think they'll get caught.

If you have been involved in a car accident in which speed was a factor, speak with a personal injury attorney at McGee, Lerer & Associates. Attorneys Daniel McGee and Catherine Lerer, a husband and wife team of Santa Monica accident attorneys, are available 24/7 to speak with you about your auto accident and advise you about your right to compensation.
