Car Accident on 101 Freeway in Studio City Injures 7

Seven people were injured in a car crash that happened on Monday at about 1:40 p.m.

The accident happened on the southbound 101 Freeway, west of the Hollywood (170) Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved two vehicles. One of the vehicles rolled as a result of the crash.

An occupant of one of the vehicles was ejected from the car and is listed in critical condition. Six other vehicle occupants were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The CHP are still investigating the cause of the crash.

If a car accident involves multiple injury victims, it is often the case that the driver who is determined to be at fault for the crash did not have enough auto insurance to cover all of the injury victims' claims. In such a situation, an injury victim can make a claim under their own auto insurance if they have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

Because there are so many drivers on the road in Southern California with no auto insurance, or not enough auto insurance, we recommend that everyone protect themselves and their family by carrying at least $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident in uninsured motorist coverage.
