Driver Crashed into Fountain Valley Pizza Shop

|

An elderly motorist crashed into the front window of a Fountain Valley Pizza Shop on Saturday.

The accident happened about 4:15 p.m. The 80-year-old male driver of a compact car who was trying to park mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake and sped into Pizza D' Oro's front window. An employee of the pizza shop suffered injuries to his leg. He was transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the car and his female passenger were not injured.

Elderly drivers are at increased risk for causing accidents. Medical issues, slower reflexes, medication, impaired hearing, and vision problems, can all impact a senior's driving abilities. If you have been the victim of a negligent elderly driver, you should speak to a personal injury lawyer about your right to compensation for the medical bills you have incurred and your pain and suffering.
