Nine people were injured in a two-car collision in South Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Manchester Ave. near Central Ave. It involved a van and a pickup truck.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, five injury victims were transported to local hospitals. One of the five was listed in grave condition. Four injury victims were treated at the scene.
Information as to the cause of the collision and the names of the injury victims has not been released. The police are not reporting whether alcohol or drugs may have played a part in the accident.
